Project Description

Earthquake is an educational game that is developed in order to establish a knowledge base amongst children aged between 7-15, about what to do right before an earthquake strikes.

The player prepares each room in an apartment by fixing loose furniture to the wall or placing items to cupboards, for the imminent earthquake. After the preparation time the earthquake hits and digital simulation starts. During the earthquake the safe zones  in the house are depicted and player is expected to reach one of these zones as quickly as possible. Then, the player is rewarded according to the actions taken in preparation time and how fast the safe zone is reached during the earthquake.

This project is developed for AFAD, the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Disaster & Emergency Management Presidency.
